I work at a: Healthcare Facility
My job role is: Healthcare Provider
I am interested in Centering because: Participating in Centering as a nurse midwife for the past 14 years has given me great joy in my clinical practice. Helping others change healthcare through my work with the Centering Healthcare Institute has also been exciting and energizing. I like knowing that we are improving patient outcomes and sustaining ourselves as healthcare providers simultaneously!

This attachment includes a Master's Thesis submitted by Helen Toma to the UNC MPH Program in Maternal Child Health and a Volunteer and Student Manual created for our volunteers at the Durham County Health Department Centering Program. Please feel free to adapt the manual for your own volunteer program.
Thank you to Helen Toma who created the manual during an internship at the Durham County Health Department during the summer of 2017.
