Join us for our next Circle Up on CenteringPregnancy for Women with Substance Use Disorders being held tomorrow, Tuesday, May 14, 2019 from 12:00 pm (noon) - 1:00 pm (ET). Register here. Dr. Hannah Watson, MD, and Dr. Mary Beth Sutter, MD, will discuss enhanced Centering groups for women with substance use disorders in pregnancy, how to incorporate medication-assisted treatment and how inter-professional teams can address unmet social needs in group visits. A sample group activity addressing "myths and facts" of neonatal abstinence syndrome will also be discussed. Hannah Watson, MD is a family physician in Santa Rosa, California. She completed a Maternal Child and Reproductive Health fellowship at the University of New Mexico, where she facilitated prenatal groups for women with opioid use disorder. She is now a staff physician at a family-centered substance abuse clinic and is excited to bring CenteringPregnancy and CenteringParenting to her community health center network. Mary Beth Sutter, MD is a family physician at the Thomas Jefferson Family Medicine Residency in Philadelphia, PA. She oversees resident education for the care of pregnant women and their babies including group prenatal care. She facilitated prenatal groups for women with opioid use disorder at the University of New Mexico, where she completed a Maternal Child and Reproductive Health fellowship. Do you have a topic idea for a Circle Up or would you like to facilitate a conversation on a topic of your expertise? Email us your ideas!
