March of Dimes New York State Chapter, the Health Foundation for Western & Central New York, Rochester Healthy Start and Centering Healthcare Institute, with support from Johnson & Johnson, are collaborating to provide a one-day CenteringPregnancy® learning session. The learning session is being held on Thursday, November 17, 2015, 10:00am-4:00pm at the Lexington Hotel Rochester Airport, 911 Brooks Ave., Rochester, NY 14623. The goals of the learning session are: 1. Identify three sources of financial support for their Centering Practice 2. Speak to the importance of enhanced reimbursement for group prenatal care 3. Develop a sustainability plan for their site 4. Identify and utilize mindfulness exercises to enable self-care and provide stress reduction in Centering groups 5. Explore other applications of the Centering model of care for risk-specific groups i.e. CenteringPregnancy Diabetes and CenteringPregnancy for Substance Abuse Attached you will find the invitation for the Learning Session.
