Good Morning I am looking for some advice on how to address low participation in our Centering Parenting groups-due to lack of support from other pediatric physicians. Management has address this in faculty meetings but does not seem to change. For example, instead of talking about/promoting Centering Parenting during the newborn visit a nurse/co-facilitator will go in after the visit and " briefly" talk about Centering- this isn't working, most parents are overwhelmed and sometimes the nurse is unable to catch new parents before they leave. I am the Centering Coordinator and co-facilitate all the Centering Pregnancy groups- during these groups I do promote it during our groups however some of group members do not come back to our pediatric department for care.
- Just looking for suggestions on what other conversations should I have with peds or any suggestions on to get more participants.
Thank you

Hi Isadora - I noticed that you posted several questions on the forum over the last few months but hadn't received any responses. I am CHI's Director of Innovation and would be happy to speak with you about your challenges. If that would be of interest to you, please click this link to schedule some time with me. Best, Victoria Director of Innovation, CHI

Hi there Have you tried bringing the pediatricians in to meet with the moms during the Centering Pregnancy groups? Have a question/answer forum? Have them pitch the program and offer the parents the opportunity to meet them.
